During our stay in Melbourne for a work conference, we decided to take a walk and find a nice restaurant. We stopped at Nero and sat outside on a beautiful evening. The service was fantastic, with Italian waiters who were friendly and engaging. Some of us ordered pizza and fish, but I went for the carbonara which was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed it. We also had some Italian beers (I can't remember the names) which were cold and reasonably priced. Nero is a great restaurant with excellent service and a lively atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

As soon as we entered, Giuseppe welcomed us warmly, making us feel like family. Our group of 12 was well taken care of by his diverse and attentive staff throughout the evening. Everyone left feeling happy and satisfied with the experience. The menu features a delightful selection of authentic Italian dishes, allowing our group to try a variety of plates. I highly recommend the traditional Spaghetti alla Carbonara and the Casunzei, though everything we tasted was delicious. This restaurant truly stands out from the rest on Lygon Street, and we will definitely be returning in the future.
