Lygon Street is little Italy and pizzas so it was a delight to find this Lebanese restaurant there. Lunch was the kofta daily special. A combination of kofta skewers chargrilled ot perfection, buttery rice with fine egg noodles mixed in it is fabulous - some hummous and salad. Generous portion, filling and tasty. Extensive menu looked appealing so will visit again. Tried their chai tea - black with herbs and honey an... View all feedback.

Looked clean and updated. Food was plentiful but disappointing, unpleasant and bland. Terrible really. Service was slow and poor, almost hostile on arrival. Was asked to leave and come back in 10 minutes when arriving for a coffee at 5:20 for our 5:30 booking. The advertised opening time is 5:00 and there were no other customers in the restaurant. It took 50 minutes to receive our trio of dips. As I had to be in the c... View all feedback.
Very mixed impressions about this restaurant:Great service- very experienced waitress, but disappointing on the "food front".We decided on their set-menu as we wanted to get a variety of food.1. Courses were rushed, second & third courses arrived when we were only halfway through a previous one.2. Food was cold: falafel, all kebabs.3. Kebabs were grilled for much too long, meat was very dry & quite tasteless.A nice aromatic tea was served at the end.And another thing: BYO wine is allowed. I phoned the night before to confirm. I was NOT told about a corkage charge. I have nothing against paying corkage as long as I know about it but detest being charged for it without a word of prior warning.By the way, we spent 5 weeks recently travelling on a budget through the Middle East and experience their great food and legendary hospitality!!Will not be back.

Arrived at restaurant and waited for a minute before someone decided to get off their table to greet us. A young man of Asian descent approached us and asked if we had a booking. We replied and said yes and gave him our surname and he told us he had no booking under that name. We told him we had rang in the night before. He didn't botherchecking the book for the name, but said to take a table anyway. So we sat near the bar.My husband decided it was cheaper to buy a bottle of wine rather than having it by the glass, and asked the man who had greeted us which was better, the Australian version or the the Italian one, only to be told that: " I don't know, I don't drink. We then asked to have the Seafood Banquet only to be told they had no fish, and that we had to go for the standard banquet. The dips were lovely and a generous serving of flat bread was great, but when the main entree came in, it was dry and tasteless, the chicken was a little too pink for my liking and the salad leaves were also brown. The main dish followed and again this was dry, and flavourless, there was more rice served than there was of meat. The belly dancer was terrible, she was on the floor for about 5 mins, on the menu it says she is on at 8.30pm, one waitress said she came on at 10.00pm, and then another one said at 9.30pm. The floors were dirty, the walls needed cleaning, and a good slap of paint would have brighten it up, the toilets upstairs were filthy, the lock didn't work properly. The bar bench was full of dust, and the glass fridges that held the cold beers were in need of a clean. I saw the owner using a tissue on his nose, and then went and served ppl food without washing his hands. Yuk! Then some music came on, but it wasn't Middle Eastern, but American Rap! There were too many shishas, smoking out the room, I got a headache in the end, there should be an outside area where this should take place. And finally when we went to pay our bill, they said that the registrar wasn't working as it was in the process of being upgraded, we had to pay in cash. Unbelievable, we should have been told this at the beginning, but luckily we had some cash and was able to pay the bill! Will never return here again, and if Gordon Ramsey was here in Australia, he would have it closed down. Beware, their website shows it to be a glamorous restaurant, I find it to be False Advertising, Just not worth spending your hard earned cash in this place, it's a real dive.
Flavorless, dry food, no atmosphere , traditional Lebanese hospitality sadly lacking. Dips sizes should be more generous.
Truly disgusting. Frozen reheated food, disgusting and filthy decor, horrific service, tacky, do not go here, MacDonald would serve you fresher food.
