Just eat fabulous! Service amazing. We sat at the bar and could observe how an amazing bartender does his magic. Also explain the menu and advise on wines, only a great service. Beautiful aromas in every dish. Thanks Scott! View all feedback.
The salmon roe is a stunning explosion of umami, perfectly complemented by the bonito cream and encased in a delicate, crispy shell. Kudos to the chef for this delightful creation. The lamb ribs were smokey and rich without being overly greasy. The accompanying sauce, which I believe was beetroot, paired beautifully with the ribs, offering a sweet and slightly tangy flavor that enhanced the dish. The steak was beautifully prepared and presented. The rump steak was cooked to a juicy medium, and the braised beef cheeks combined with the radish created a delicious harmony. It was also served on a generous plate, making it quite a satisfying meal. The duck dish was also expertly cooked and enjoyable. The only slight disappointment during the meal was the spanner crab.
- **Tartlet of Salmon Roe:** This dish is visually stunning, and the pastry is incredibly delicate and thin, providing the perfect support for the bonito cream and salmon roe. Absolutely delicious! - **Dressed Spanner Crab with Prawn Butter and Flatbread:** The presentation is fantastic, and the bread and butter could easily stand on their own as a dish! I almost wished for more bread so I could indulge in both the butter and the crab separately. - **Smoked Saltbush Lamb Ribs with Apricot and Native Pepper:** The lovely pink hue demonstrates how well these ribs have been smoked. While they were a bit fatty, they were still delightful, and the apricot BBQ sauce complemented them wonderfully. - **Heritage Tomato with Smoked Stracciatella:** This dish elevates a traditional Caprese salad to new heights. The smoked stracciatella was incredibly delicious. - **Smoked Potato Gnocchi with Wild Garlic and Butternut:** I realize now that I unintentionally ordered all the smoked dishes on the menu, but these gnocchi were fantastic! **What to Skip:** - **Porterhouse with Leek and Sesame:** While cooked well, this dish lacked much flavor.
The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the food and drinks were delightful. The decor was charming as well! As soon as you walked in, the restaurant had an incredible aroma, with scents of fire, charcoal, smoke, and wood filling the air. I will definitely be returning soon!
We went to this awesome place for dinner last weekend. The restaurant has smoke around the restaurant and the staff are friendly. The wine was great we picked the “Mazeris” from France and “Powell son “from Borossa valley , they both amazing .About the food was fabulous too , definitely worthy 5 stars .
We tried the spring lunch menu. I was so impressed with this venue. The ambiance is lovely and it is much bigger than you think from the outside. The service was spot on and each dish was delicious. Really enjoyed our lunch here.
