I've been aiming to dine here for several years purely because visibly it showed a strong connection to Italian décor and presentation. Napkins of crisp white linen elegance and culture seemed to be just right. It just has an air about the history of itself and the menu seemed to be traditional yet contemporary. My friend and I had spaghetti marina which was to die for. It was a short meal because it was late in the... View all feedback.
What MelbourneKaz doesn't like about Mamma Vittoria:

Received from Yelp at 12am this morning a email titled "The Weekly Yelp Melbourne- Ready for Spaghetti" so we decided to try Mamma Vittoria's for good
I am pretty sure most people walk past this place without giving it a second glanceWell they would be doing themselves a big disservice.
What a surprise to enter this restaurant on a cold night and find an open fire going. For another feature of this homely restaurant was that the tables had " Singer Sowing Frames " as leg supports. It has an upstairs private function room, unseen by us.Anything we asked for was immediately arranged too. Service was excellent. We were not crammed in. Meal was well spaced out.
We were just walking the streets of Fitzroy looking for somewhere nice for dinner when we found this place. The staff were very friendly the food and wine were great. We shared a prosciutto pizza for entree then i had a angus steak with mushroom sauce for main.Plus the italian wine of the week.It was a great little find amongst less savoury dining options
