After not dining out for over a year we enjoyed a great lunch with a wide choice of food at affordable prices. The food which included dips, vine leaves, chips and yummy desserts was excellent and served promptly by very friendly and helpful staff. The cocktails were great and the decor and atmosphere felt good and not cramped. Will definately be returning soon. View all feedback.
What Carolina Gleason doesn't like about Mama Manoush:
Nicholson St local doing generally honest, tasty and generous food. Bread fresh from the oven; mezzo sausages full flavoured and moist and great falafel. Meal let down only by the bland, homogeneous trio of dips....a real shame as it's not that hard to get right. Nice and plentiful pickles though, a good range of beers and friendly service. I and two friends ate here yesterday and loved it!! We have absolutely filled, I have the cheese cigars and the chicken Riz ah Jaj meal it was delicious. Also our service was so fast that we were so impressed!! In any case, you want to go back when the next one in Melbourne.
This Lebanese restaurant is consistently amazing with great service every time. It is my favorite spot to dine and they also have a wonderful outdoor seating area. My personal favorite dish is the chicken wings.
The male waiters were pushy and intrusive. It was clear they wanted us to order more drinks and food even after we had finished our meal. One of them seemed interested in flirting and then made a rude comment about the bill, joking that I could pay to impress my friend. It was an awkward and uncomfortable end to an otherwise pleasant dinner with my friend. The food was good, but nothing exceptional. Save your money and dine at a restaurant where the waitstaff isn't more focused on their own ego than serving customers.
The employees were welcoming, timely and efficient. We ordered the meat lovers Platter, Wine leaves, Falafel, Helloumi Fingers Lamb Cutlets all perfect for 4 people. The food was delicious and even my fussy daughter enjoyed tasting a bit of everything!!
The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and the food was served quickly. However, some dishes were lacking in flavor - the hommus was missing garlic and lemon juice, and the eggplant was also lacking in taste. The cheese samboosik was underwhelming and not worth ordering. The mixed sample dips were not very satisfying, with a few pickles and olives that tasted less than fresh. On the other hand, the meshwi meat, Kafka, and chicken were all delicious and melted in the mouth. The garlic was authentic. Overall, the food was okay but overpriced.
