Nice little space. Small but functional. I'd watch the boxes intruding into the cafe space though. Unhappy outside views over the less orderly parts of Flinders St station west. That's on one view though. The ongoing mess is sometimes part of the charm. The cafe set up is ok if a little jumbled. Funky diagrams on the walls. I was warmly greeted on entry which is always nice. My coffee was really lovely. Wonderfully full flavored and creamy. Just as I like it. And, a decent size too. There was steady stream of customers here. Not surprising as looks to be one of the better options in the immediate area. Nice music selection. I'll eat something on the next visit.
Coffee always served with a smile, good quality beans - and if you hungry, add a cheesy bread jaffle to the mix. Lately scotch eggs have been hitting the menu - sensational!
I stayed in the Rendezvous Hotel which is just a few meters away and was in need of coffee and a good lunch. I walked by and almost missed it but thankfully I turned back. It's quirky, offers great food and coffee and very importantly, awesome customer service. It's worth to sit down and have a look at the chalk board behind the coffee bar. Great drawings and funny quotes as well as very informative facts. I had Lebanese meat balls at lunch, a chocolate muffin on the go and an egg and bacon sandwich for breakfast next morning and I loved it. The owners and staff are very friendly and it was very obvious that they put in great effort to know their customers. Great relaxed atmosphere, good music and great food. What would you want more for breakfast and/or lunch?
Called in for breakfast. I loved great breakfast jaffles, hubby thought sourdough toast and scrambled eggs too dry but loved the coffee. Good prices and good serving size.
The boys at Cup of Truth are some of the busiest workmen in the cityFrom 6am to closing time, they do not stop.
