We have recently moved to Ivanhoe and love going to the La Porchetta. A young couple have recently taken over the ownership of the store and are working hard to restore its reputation. I understand that it previously wasn't well run but would encourage giving it another go. The pizza and pasta is fresh and of a high quality. View all feedback.

It's been some time since I've been to La Porchetta Ivanhoe and now I remember why we stopped visiting. It's the value for money factor. La Porchetta started out as a great value pizza & pasta place, where you could walk out with 4 pizzas...More View all feedback.
We had a family dinner here to celebrate a 40th birthday. I wasn’t expecting a lot but ended up being greatly impressed. The food was great and a reasonable price. Servings were mainly too big but we were provided with containers to take leftovers home. The staff happily provided gluten free for one of our group with coeliac disease. The staff were happy for us to provide our own birthday cake for dessert. The best thing about this pizza restaurant were all the helpful and friendly staff. Nothing was too much bother for them.
WOW, La Porchetta is definitely worth checking out. I ordered the Chicken Pizza with a Tomato base, mozzarella, chicken, pineapple, with a tangy BBQ sauce and it was divine, full of flavor and the base was one of the nicest bases I have ever eaten. Service was outstanding and friendly. We dined in. Really decent price as well. Will I go back? Heck yeah!
La porchetta has to be the best pizza place in melbourne, if you want a cheap pizza with average flavour or less than average quality ingredients then go to your local dominoes or supermarket and get amccains pizza, but you cant go past la porchetta pizza with ample amount of fresh toppings and plenty of stretchy cheese and lots and lots of flavour, oh and did i mention the service is good too.
Vegetarian pizza was just ok, but the additional 20c for a sprinkle of chile is rude. Lucky I did not ask for pepper and salt. Guess what? They forgot the chile anyway
If you know what to expect from La Porcetta then this won't excite nor disappoint. Being considered an averagely affordable Italian cuisine this delivers exactly that. The Iralian menu is very basic, the food is very average the venue delivers nothing more or less than expected. Basically you get what you pay for leave full but satisfied.
