La Bussola - Melbourne

After changing hands some time ago, La Bussola/Compass is now delivering in spades, the Pizza's are thin and crispy with a good spread of fresh ingredients and the restaurant seating area has been re-worked to be very family/group friendly. Great place for a dine in meal or takeaway option.

Have been going to La Bussola for years. The small family run italian and pizza parlor time and time again dishes up superb pizzas and italian food. The old school pizza oven gives that amazing taste!

That's not my normal language but I'm repeating some of the language I heard at La Bussola. We've been long time fans of this restaurant and notice it is transitioning and might now be known as "Compass." The hipsters are moving in and they're changed the decor ever so slightly and you can now eat your pizza while you perch on a stool. All that aside, the pizzas are even better than they were if that is at all possible. One issue though - I do not need to be asked four times during a simple meal of pizza if it's Ok or if I'm enjoying it. Trust me, I'll tell you (quietly) if I'm not happy - please just let me eat the pizza and chat with my partner. The wine list is sparse but in keeping with the venue. Great value for money.

Visited a friend nearby the other night, and he recommended we go for pizza around the corner for his place.He kept raving how good it was, and I just kept quiet, not wanting to make waves. I know he goes there many times after he's had a bit to drink, so any food is good food.Quality didn't get anywhere near what i was expecting, seeing it was run by authentic italiansI won't be going there again

A family run business serving pizza, pasta and homestyle dishes in a casual and friendly environment. Always good for a meal when you just want something quick and easy. Our family have been going here for years.
