Hunter's Kitchen and Bar - Melbourne

I use this restaurant when I am looking for lunch in St Kilda Rd, Melbourne. Nice menu and the beef brisket was mouth watering. It just pulled apart like a perfectly slow cooked piece of beef. Chips were good too. The staff were friendly and knowledgable...thank you :)

Ever fly into your favourite city, be overwhelmed by the friendly reception at ur hotel then check ur phone App for a convenient eatery, before collapsing into bed. The restaurant/ cafe has to be pretty bad to disappoint me in such a situation and unfortunately Hunter's managed this. Dull tired decor is not a good indicator, but not essential to a good dining experience. Cleanliness, less so. Lack of patronage and disinterested staff, should have rung alarm bells. After all the hotel room has a bar fridge! But the travel fatigue allowed us to push on only to be underwhelmed by relatively expensive and badly cooked meals. Next time take the tram to the City!

The steak I ordered was so tough that I complained to the waiter that I can hardly cut it.He went away and gave me a sharper knife.for $47 steak it was 80% bone and grizzle.It was on the menu as sirloin on the bone 400 grams but it was not that size at all the only part was edible weigh less than 50 grams. The waiter cam with the bill and said that he would not charge us for the chips.

Great little spot. Fabulous service. Great tap beer. Menu was small but quite nice. Share plates were really good.
