This restuarants food in unbelievable. We went there with the expectation that it would probably be ordinary. How wrong were we... The food was beautiful. The prawns were fresh and so were the scallops. Although it was not busy the atmosphere was nice. The waiter...could not of been more accomodating to us. Very good service and price. We are thinking about having our wedding reception there. View all feedback.
What Paris Gusikowski doesn't like about Finz Seafood Restaurant - Sandringham:
I was here twice for the first time with my Japanese family pairing with others for the second time. and the intention is great when they wear sunglasses as the sun sets before them. the service lacks, the amount of food is not questionable, but the quality is nothing really simmering about this place, its very average, badly boiled seafood. I'm not gonna be there for the third time. View all feedback.
She and I visited Finz for a family occasion and were not disappointed in the slightest. This was for a long mid-week lunch, with very few diners in the downstairs ground floor zone, served by the same ground floor kitchen as the more well presented upstairs dining area, which has an identical menu, only more expensive pricing. Between three of us, we enjoyed two lots of Coffin Bay scallops, two ling fillets coated in the finest batter, and a plate of garlic prawns with rice. All meals were nicely presented and much enjoyed, hard to say which plate was closest to perfect. All pretty good. Service was good but not tested, due to few patrons at the time. A nice view out to the yachts on the bay, racing from the yacht club at Sandringham, and one hour free parking at the front door, or unlimited parking directly opposite, under the Sandy Hotel. An unqualified good experience, nothing could be faulted in the slightest.
Overpriced boring menu. Nice staff let down by very ordinary cooking. Paella rice gluggy, tasteless but seafood was fresh and well cooked

Ive been here twice, first time with my Japanese family second time with other couples. and the view is great provided you wear sunglasses as the sun sets right in front of you. Service is lacking, the quantity of food is not questionable but the quality is, Nothing really dazzling about this place, its very average, poorly cooked seafood. I wont be there for a 3rd time.Pity it has such potential.
We went with another couple to celebrate our wedding anniversaries, which were a week apart - we arrived at 7:30. The setting is lovely, especially when they opened the blinds and we watched the sun set. One of our party decided on two starters, while the rest of us opted for main courses only. The first of the starters arrived at around 8:30. By 9pm, no sign of the main courses and the second starter. I called our waitress over and asked what was happening, as by that time we had been at the restaurant for 1 1/2 hours. She said she would check. She came back and said that there must have been an error - and we waited. At about 9:15 one of our party went to the head person and said if the food wasn't with us in 5 minutes we would leave. At 9:20 we stood up to leave and the food arrived. The waitress said the choice to leave was ours, but, at that late stage, decided to stay. The food was very good, but our moods weren't. All they were prepared to do as compensation, was to take the bottle of wine off the bill. One of our party spoke to the head and said they would look after us if we came back: Which we won't be doing, any time soon.
