What Anonym dislikes about Docasa:
We also dislike being spoken to rudely. Such a rude owner! Went for brunch and told we could sit anywhere when he followed us and told us to sit next to another couple. No social distancing here. I went out to lunch with a local friend who highly recommended Docasa, and I was thoroughly impressed. The menu was extensive and outstanding, with almost every dish catching my eye. The ambiance was airy, comfortable, and inviting. The staff was well-dressed, friendly, and provided excellent service. I tried the dish of exotic mushrooms and soft egg, and it was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back and sample more dishes from the menu!
Lovely Mother’s Day lunch. 5 of us dined and despite being very busy the service was good and meals were delicious. I usually come for coffee or breakfast but today I had the prawn and gnocchi dish which was great and other meals were great too. Thank you for consistently delivering!

There are plenty of other coffee shops in the area to choose from where the owners are happy to have customers after the virus lockdown.
Although I am only an occasional customer, my usual spot is Café Tre Fontane. My delivery was only delayed by 30 seconds or so. However, I believe it is unfair for another customer who arrives 10 minutes or more after me to be served before me, regardless of how often they frequent the restaurant or if they are a friend. Perhaps this socializing caused my coffee to not be as hot as I requested. I will be looking for another option.
We had to wait a long time for coffee, even though new groups that arrived after us were served first. This was especially frustrating because we were regular customers. If you are a middle-aged woman, the barista may prioritize young male cyclists over you. However, the wait staff were very friendly. It was disappointing and frustrating, as we are busy women.

Great venue, awesome food and excellent service. Drinks, both coffee and alcoholic are of great quality.

This cafe cum diner is slowly gaining a reputation for delivering great food .The cafe started only 7 months ago below the elegant apartments Deco, on the corner of Marshall and Heidelberg roads, Ivanhoe.I have had lunch and many great latte machas in the past .I've never dined there until last week. The owner has started opening for dinner on Thursdays,Fridays and Saturdays. It's situated on a stretch of Ivanhoe where cafes are limited. The service is efficient, friendly and the wait staff are well trained to serve diners. The menu for dinner looks modern and it has a selection of fish, meat and salads.I chose the 18 hour slow braised beef ribs. The ribs were cooked to perfection. The plate arrived looking appetising and served with spinach and a smooth pave of potato. It was a large serve but I was determined to finish the wonderfully cooked food. Docasa is a breath of fresh air and only minutes away from Ivanhoe train station and easy parking in nearby streets.Well worth the visit, either for breakfast ,Lunch or dinner !!Definitely will go back with friends and family.
Been here a few times now. Mostly lunch and weekend brunch. Friendly staff. Orders taken promptly and like the 'bottomless' sparkling water. Food is always well prepared and priced accordingly. Usually busy and so booking advised.
Met a friend here for brunch. It is new and bright and airy. Friendly staff. Discovered it was in a gluten free zone. What to have. Had the fruit bread and my friend had a bowl of green vegies. We shared and it was lovely. My fruit toast and honey was the best fruit toast I have ever had. I had an "ordinary" coffee and my friend had the almond milk one. Mine was very good. We will go again.
