We tried the Antarctica crab (white color one) for dinner, it was so great. The crab's juice mixed up with rice and we enjoyed a lot. Just be aware that the price is not cheap at all. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Crystal Jade Restaurant:
Went on a Sunday with a group booking. I found the experience far too rushed and not relaxing, with the wait staff focused on getting people out of the door within their 1hr seating time slot to make room for the next group. I found the food good however won't be coming back due to the rushed experience. Also, quite expensive for what it is. Even if they extended the seating period to 1.5hrs it would be better. The service at crystal jade is really fast! Once they have placed their order, you will eat freshly hot! the food was super delicious. I think this is the best yum cha I've had for a long time! the restaurant is well presented, very clean.
Having lunch here, and they are truly busy but the food serving was pretty quick. we do have an hour only due to the peak hour, but we manage to finish all in an hour. the food taste okay. portion was pretty standard, not particularly huge or small. it not the traditional style where someone pushing a trolley filled with dim sum. kind of disappointing, but all good.
After a high recommendation from a work colleague, finally got to come here. They were very accommodating, as we walked in during the busy lunch hour with no booking. The service was exceptional, but after ordering, everything came out at once, which isn't much of a gripe. Though, the trade of efficiency for the authenticity of the food carts is missed. Plus, we're pushed to consume the dishes while they're at an adequate temperature, yum cha's definitely more enjoyed as a slow burn. The Har Gao and Egg Tarts were easy stand outs.
GOOD QUALITY DIM SUM IN BUSY CHINATOWN Crystal Jade is one of the more upmarket restaurants offering Dim Sum lunch in Chinatown. Located in Lt Bourke St, just one shop up from the Russel St intersection, it is fairly accessible by both tram and train services. Driving can be a bit of nightmare both for finding a park on the street and for congestion in the one way Lt Bourke St! Restaurant is upstairs people with mobility issue scan take the lift, but once in the restaurant itself, its all level flooring. Its very popular and you need to queue to get a table. Rather than set seating times, you are allocated one hour from entry. Staff offer you a menu to fill out while you are queuing up on the footpath outside. The restaurant doesn 't have food trolleys moving through the dining room just orders from the tick the box dim sum list. It 's noisy and bustling we were seated near where the staff empty the used crockery into large plastic buckets so the meal as frequently punctuated with loud crashing noises!! If you are noise sensitive try to negotiate a table close to the entrance stairs. The menu is not extensive (perhaps a transitory thing due to COVID?? and there are very few vegetarian choices. Food quality is good and its served fairly promptly. Everything comes at once, so if you want to stagger your food (eg have the egg custard tarts arrive at the end you 'll need to either ask the staff or put in a second order later in the meal. Rather cheekily, when you are paying, the staff will prompt you to tip!
Beautiful Chinese restaurant, very clean, very polite people and eating is a 10/10. I will recommend it very much. Thank you.
