Chinese Jin Dumpling House - Melbourne

I like this place because they were very authentic food shop. I went to this restaurant with my Asian housemate for lunch. It was almost empty in the lunch time. But honestly we had very very yummy lunch. It was so good that we eat couple of things(soup, dumpling) from this restaurant regularly now.

We eat here or get take away once every 6-8 weeks (mostly dumplings). Good food at a good price. We have always been happy with the meals at Jin Dumpling House .

This is a regular favorite for lunch. The dumplings are consistently good and the salt pepper prawns are delicious though if you like hot, ask for extra chilli. Very fast and friendly service.

My fiancé and I were chasing a late night snack. We knocked on the door right as they were closing and they welcomed us inside and gave us the menu. We ordered the pork and chicken dumplings and special fried rice which was full of flavour and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and stayed open to serve us. We got take away cappuccinos which were also very nice. Would highly recommend this venue!!

There's been a change in ownership the decor, the menu, the staff it's all different. The focus is no longer on just offering the best dumplings ever. It's now just another Chinese restaurant but now the menu is greasy plastic with paper table cloths, no extra table napkins no Chinese desserts. Started with Chinese tea for 2, 12 tiny dumplings for entree followed by black bean steak with over cooked vegetables spicy old green beans. Total price $70 should have gone to takeaway up the road would have been fresher cheaper. Won't be back a total disappointment. Seems they're just trading on the good name earned by past owners. Very sad.
