Having been to Melbourne and the Southbank area a lot we had never been here before, a wonderful find, lovely service, terrific meals and amazing coffee. Will certainly be back next time we are in Melbourne. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Charlie Lovett South Wharf:
We went for breakfast and the porridge was hard and under cooked and was suppose to have raspberries on top but there were none..... They did cater for vegan which was probably the best meal of them all. The egg dishes were average. The best thing was sitting out in the sun. View all feedback.
This was a busy and we ordered at 10.10am and were still waiting for food at 11.40. When food came, almost all orders were wrong and it seemed the kitchen had no idea what was going on. People next to us had small children and the children eeded feeding, they too waited over 90 minutes . Lots os eateries in this neck of the woods, I wont be going back to this one in a hurry.
Coffee was average, bacon was cold, hash browns half cooked, tables left full of dirty dishes and apart from a pleasant view, no other redeeming qualities at all. If you are understaffed, close off half the tables. Never again!
The tables needed a good clean The eggs came out cold The hot chocolate came out as warm milk As a family treat it was a big disappointment I do not recommend this place
Dreadful experience, staff have no idea. Bringing out meals and calling them by the wrong name so everyone ate one another’s meals (including someone ending up eating a gluten meal . When flagged we had to reorder and pay for their mistake as no-one really knows whats going on sonit was easier! Brisket benny came with bacon told when it arrived sorry we dont have brisket so we swapped it in the kitchen, missing meals and missing drinks. Its boxing day so expected some mistakes but the restaurant was only quarter full (now we know why!!! totally disappointed
Absolute rubbish! Poor quality. No service, dirty tables and plates. You need to sort out your basics. Your team clearly have no understanding of basic service
