Cecconi's Flinders Lane - Melbourne

I recently reunited with another couple after 20 years at this restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was above average. The ambiance was authentic and provided a great experience, although the wine was a bit pricey. I would definitely come back on my next visit to Melbourne.

Cecconi's in Melbourne is one of the top Italian restaurants around! The food is incredibly delicious and bursting with flavor. It's a great spot for special occasions due to its fine dining atmosphere that can feel intimate. We always enjoy dining at Cecconi's!

As we went down the stairs to the venue, there was a small area with some seats out the front with electric heaters which would be beautiful on a calm night.

One of the oldest establishments of Italian restaurant in the city. They have pasta, meat dishes along with a selection of entrees. The service is top notch as expected of a fine-dining restaurant. Dishes overall are average and personally not worth the price. Pasta are quite bland and the charcuterie meat selection also very normal. Basically you are paying for service and romantic vibe.<br/

Highlights from our dining experience included the delicious cotoletta, a crispy crumbed veal dish served with a refreshing apple and cabbage salad. The braised wagyu brisket with charred leeks was tender and flavorful, melting in our mouths with fragrant beefy flavors. No meal at Cecconi's is complete without their stunning pasta dishes. The house-made Duck Gnocchi was pillow soft and indulgent, while the Agnolotti del plin was perfectly cooked with delicious fillings in a sage and butter sauce. Our dinner ended with a duo of sensational desserts, Tiramisu and ricotta cannoli. Cecconi's is a modern Italian restaurant where food, wine, service, and atmosphere come together beautifully, offering delicious Modern Australian cuisine with the freshest ingredients. Their takeaway menu maintains the same quality and precision, so go ahead and treat yourself!
