What is it with all the cafes in the block arcade area. Same menus, same prices. But this place has porridge! Just what I needed on a cold morning. It was not quite right but the waitress happily brought me honey to sweeten it up. Otherwise perfect. We also had scrambled eggs with salmon. Perfect as expected. Not a bad place for breakfast. What Fred Jast dislikes about Caffe e biscotti:
We just had lunch here and it was completely terrible and ruined our day. We didn’t get the right drinks we ordered even though they assured us that they were, and then we still had to pay for them. The salads and healthy bowl were...terrible! Basically just spinach and olive oil but you pay $20 for it. The manager was so rude to us and really ruined our day. We would never come back here and will make sure to spread... View all feedback.

A so disappointing experience! we ordered 3 coffees, trio dips, a bowl chips, 2 muffins and child pancakes. the drinks took age groups to get out and came out at different times. the bowl of the chips was absolutely tiny, the size of one side. the trio of the drip, as hummus, tzatziki beetroot, came as tzatziki, capsicum (we think) and cut avocardo with a kirschtomatin. the food came out at various times, surprisingly the muffins (from the counter) came out last. we discussed our experience with the manager and he offered no excuse or explanation and just said that not good. we will not come back in the future.
Started with an uninterested and rude “manager” who we had to ask for service after sitting for 10 mins (as she was standing by the coffee machine snacking on something). Her demeanour seems to be a common theme in these reviews so might be something...the owners should look into. Our waitress was making an effort, but she was quite inexperienced. She was trying though which was more than can be said for her colleague, who made a lukewarm and weak coffee. Strangely, there is no option on the menu for just eggs on toast the only option comes with bacon so we swapped that out for mushrooms. An extra which was cheaper than bacon, so would have thought this wouldn’t affect the bill. It did. We paid more for swapping to something cheaper which left a bad taste in my mouth. The food was ok, but the overall experience was very poor and we won’t be going back. There are so many options in and around this area that there’s no point in giving it a second chance.
We ordered brunch for 3 it took one because when our food came over boiled, my tee was a bag swimming in a cup of water day and all, this is the second time that we never gave them another chance again and. the phone is not connected and they do not show the abn on the input and they calculate a massive bill never again
Here for lunch in this restaurant last weekend while on an impromptu shopping tour in the city with two teenage daughters to use the summer sale. the waiting staff was extremely polite. my daughters had the gnocchi sorentina and the squid ink linguini they really enjoyed. I ordered the risotto with pork mushrooms, mushrooms and truffle oil. I ordered this with a little hesitation, as risotto is so often badly cooked in restaurants. this risotto was the most beautiful! there was a young guy who appeared as manager and he tried to be very polite. that is not a cheap restaurant. the potential mozens should take into account that this restaurant is located in the center of the tourist area of melbourne cbd and that it serves qualitatiw high quality food. for my part I found it as an oasis from the summer sale that I enjoyed very much. we will be back and I hope that the service and eating will remain of the same quality.

At 1pm on a Sunday I had a lovely waitress provide polite, courteous, fast service from start to finish. Food was delicious $11 side greens plate) and a lovely coffee with some fancy late art. Normal food was highly priced, hence my side salad. However, to chose to sit at arguably Melbourne's most famous arcade comes with the acceptance of exorbitant rents, so I wasn't surprised, and no stars were lost here for high prices.
Service was good. Cozy little spot. High priced for what you get especially when we had similar breakfast the previous morning for half the cost and near half again the amount. :Added edit: The business keeps track of thier reviews which is lovely to see. Especially within 24 hours of the post which I've rarely seen. Shows interest in what people say.
Perfect and quick service, the staff there were super friendly , welcoming and very helpful. The seating is well prepared and the have inside and outside seating. I ordered long black, very tasty and strong. The have deferent kinds of sweets tarts, cheesecake,,,. What I do liked in this cafe is the service and the way the staff serve you. I do recommend this place. I’ll be back there for sure.
Great coffee, staff, and food. The pancakes were delicious! It was definitely what we were looking for as most places were closed (despite it being 7.30am in the morning) for breakfast. Couldn't have asked for a better meal!
