Cafe Fidama - Melbourne

Have been to this place quite a few times and have always had good food and service. The wine list is a little on the expensive side.

This is a nice upmarket restaurant in Yarraville's popular strip. It can be busy in the peak times but if you can get there off peak it is a very relaxing place to enjoy a meal.

We had to request water 3 times.The portions were small.It was expensive given the tiny portions.But most of all, the service was shocking. Our waiter was extremely rude and arrogant. When I enquired why we were charged for 2 serves of garlic bread when our plate had 5 slices, he mockingly replied "what, you think you get 5 pieces in one serve?" Our water glasses were empty and my wife was still finishing her wine, when he cleared all the glasses. The bill was presented in an American Express wallet, but when I tried to pay by Amex, I was told they don't accept American Express. Upon leaving I spoke to the manager to tell him of our experience and he said nothing, not a word. He just stood there.

Amazing service, Ross is the BEST!!! We love Cafe Fidama and dine here on a very regular basis. Excellent food with great specials

First time visiting Fidama's after hearing great things about it. Booked at 6pm, it started to fill up around 7pm, so glad we booked. Food was great, fresh homemade pasta - we had the gnocchi and prawn fettuccine, both were really nice. Wine list on the expensive side, with not many reasonably priced options. Service good. Will go back when craving great, homemade Italian!
