What Ian R likes about Bowery to Williamsburg:
We were lucky to beat the crowd that gathered only moments after we sat down. This hidden gem that isn't easily identified at the end of the lane, has fantastic food, service and atmosphere. I was anticipating mind blowing bagels, lox and out-of-this-world cream cheese. Instead it was lacklustre store-bought ordinary bagel, philly cheese and very boring lox. read moreThe restaurant received mixed reviews from customers. Some were disappointed by the lackluster bagels and other dishes that did not meet their high expectations, while others enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The vegan options were limited, but the coffee was praised. The seafood chowder was deemed disappointing, but the Shakshuka and waffles were a hit. The peanut butter hot chocolate was highly recommended, along with the Reuben sandwich and Bagel sandwich. Overall, the restaurant offered a unique New York style experience with delicious food, particularly the bagels and unique menu items like the chicken and waffles. The ambience was relaxed and rustic, perfect for a cozy meal in the heart of Melbourne.
