Black Waffle - Melbourne

The pancakes at this restaurant were too sweet and cold for my taste. I was excited to try them, but when our food arrived, the pancakes were not fresh and had lost their appeal due to being cold.

While driving through Northcote, we came across Black Waffle and decided to stop for some ice cream. Despite never hearing of it before, we were impressed by the good reviews and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! This will definitely be our new favorite spot for ice cream. The gelato is incredibly creamy, made in Italian style, and reasonably priced at $7.50 for two scoops. Though they have a limited selection of flavors (around 8 choices), each one we tried was delicious. We opted for nutella, peanut butter oreo, and apple crumble, all of which were fantastic.

This place worked well for us. It was a warm night and we found it by chance for some ice cream after dinner. The selection was limited but the quality was great. I would definitely come back again.

Dropped in for a sweet fix on a cool n windy afternoon...decided on a waffle dessert..UNFORTUNATELY the waffles were CHEWY not what we had hoped for..will not be REVISITING...LOTS of options in the area..

A must do! We found this place by accident with friends and we were not disappointed. We had waffles, ice cream tea and coffee. I had the Nutella and banana waffle and it was by far the best treat I’ve had in a very long time. The dairy free ice cream was thick and creamy and the coffees were great. I’ll definitely recommend. Go on, treat yourself.
