Service with so many french staff! In expensive wine list and the food was just incredible. The setting was perfectly French too.Don't pass up the Mushroom risotto, try every side dish and you have to at least once in your lifetime have the entire snickers dessert to yourself. View all feedback.
What Roman Doyle doesn't like about Bistro Vue:
Went there for my birthday dinner with my husband and oysters we're delicious, French onion soup was under seasoned, then I ordered pepper sauce as I love a peppery sauce, with my steak and my husband ordered a Diane sauce. Mine came with the Diane and my husbands with pepper sauce. I asked for another pepper sauce twice but it had no pepper flavour. The third was was better but by that time my steak was cold and the... This restaurant comes highly recommended, with good reason. The venue is shabby chic m, the service is friendly but professional and the meals are excellently prepared. My snapper was poached beautifully in its own juices and was one of the finest fish meals I have had. My companion had the comfy duck and was very pleased. Portion sizes are generous without being over large. The sides were also particularly generous. Serve genuine chips rather than the ubiquitous "French fries", for me a plus.
I couldn't resist a little French. A visit here makes you feel like you could be in Paris. The decor. The furniture. The high quality but mis-matched crockery and cutlery. The service. Oh, and the food. Just lovely. The whole experience is special. We have always loved it here and haven't visited in well over two years due to working overseas. We're coming home and returning here was just how that felt, coming home. This visit was a corporate lunch. Certainly assists doing business. But I can't wait for many social occasions to come. Splendid.
The food at this restaurant is French and extremely goodThe service was a little slow to begin but once started it was very good. The menu is not huge but offer plenty of choicesIn one of the dining areas you can watch the food prep reflected in a mirror!
We ate here last night and I have to say that the whole evening was wonderful. It was our first night out for a long time without our children. The service was faultless - particularly our waiter. I'm just disappointed I didn't take note of his name to thank him personally. The food was also great - well seasoned and very tasty - especially the mushroom risotto for entree. My barramundi was perfectly cooked, and the beetroot side was delicious too. The chocolate soufflé was delicious too, however, I would have liked some Cointreau or Grand Marnier poured over it.The wine list is also impressive and extensive.
I went with my dad to have an early birthday dinner and it was fantastic. The style of the restaurant is fully french inspired and the majority of the wait staff are french. My dad and I decided to get the L'Humeur du Chef a set menu of six courses and I couldn't recommend it more. Everything on the menu looked amazing and they were very accomodating when we wanted to try the pork belly they seamlessly fit it into the flow of the presentation of the dishes. It was quite quiet when we went there because it was early evening and we arrived before our reservation but they were happy to allow us to wait at the bar while our table was prepared. They also took our coats and I really enjoyed the fact that the Mocktails that were made for me were request and there weren't restrictions on that score. The personalised dish that they gave along with the tea and coffee was so sweet my dad didn't request this but they knew it was my birthday and it was made extra special. Also omg the Tarte Tartin was incredibly amazing couldn't recommend it enough and would just go back for that dessert.
