Big Boy Bbq Melbourne

Previously went there and had a great Zee burger with yummy jalapeño cheese chips so I thought I'd go again and try their pork rib rack. Unfortunately that was on the opposite end of the scale. Ribs had very little meat and what meat there...was, was extremely dry and stringy. Drenched in BBQ to hide the dryness, it was not a pleasant eating experience considering I paid for a quarter rack which is about ribs. Maybe I'll just stick to the burgers if I ever bring myself to do go back.

Being from the south we had try this place. Not disappointed at all. The food was great and there was a lot of it. If away from home and looking for good BBQ this is the place in Melbourne.

OK so I have done a lot of reviews and I am nothing if not fair. This afternoon I thought I would try out this place that says they do American BBQ. I chose a new Yorker essentially a Pastrami on rye which I was...looking forward to. It's not cheap at for the plain sandwich and I chose take away. Everything in this place comes out of a fridge and goes in the microwave. The sandwich was slapped together pickles barely even on the bread and the only thing you could taste was salt salt and more salt. The staff working there could not have been less. Interested in being there if they tried. If you own this restraint you need to seriously step it up. For a small sandwich costing I should at least be able to expect fresh quality ingredients not microwaved meat. Look at my other reviews I am fair but this was very poor. If I could give zero I would.

Have to say I would not feed a human . Had glazed lamb ribs .. thank goodness that I ordered half a rack . Pull your sock up guys it is a wonderful city with great food and you are seriously letting the team down.... I should have taken a pic to illustrate my view on this .

We went there after reading about it on the internet and wanting to try something new. The place was completely empty and perhaps thats when we should've suspected that it wouldn't be agood choice, particularly as there were dozens of places a few steps further...along that were heaving with diners. The food was cold and the meats were not at all what we expected in terms of taste. Perhaps that is the way this particular cuisine is but this doesn't explain why no one else was there. We personally wouldn't go there again and therefore can't recommend it either
