Bar Humbug - Melbourne

Great downstairs bar near corner of King and Little Bourke. Large comfy bench seating area with reasonably food and drink. Pleasant staff. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful

Had a great trip to Melbourne - this was the only let down. Korean Fried chicken was so over cooked it was like rubber - see photos - and no spice at all as promised. Pork sliders were foul. The barman did not know how to make a Manhattan...forget this place...

Casual little bar beside our hotel. Friendly staff and good place to meet up with friends and head off for the night. We enjoyed our short stay here. Little oasis off the busy rush hour streets

Enjoyed a one hour tour inside the Margaret Court and Rod Laver Areanas. It was informative and interesting. Only disappointing aspect was everything is removed from walls, locker rooms, etc., so you had to use your imagination some. It took us half an hour to find where the tour was to start because of construction and no signs. Finally found some helpful tennis players who directed us.

We visited this bar purely based on the appeal of the name and it was near where we were staying. It was a lovely comfortable bar with friendly staff and great wine. On staff recommendation we tried the Korean Fried Chicken and were not disappointed - it was amazing. Definitely worth a visit.
