Located next door to my usual hotel (Brady Hotels Central Melbourne), this charming Korean fusion restaurant caught my attention after walking past it numerous times without a second thought. I now regret not trying it sooner! I indulged in their Korean Fried Chicken with almonds, pork and beef bulgogi sliders, lotus chips with a lime aioli, and a squid pancake, all accompanied by a refreshing raspberry wine sangria.... Sure, there is a KFC around the corner - but if you are looking for fried chicken, you need to walk down little Latrobe and go to Anju. There's a whole lot more going on here - good bar, and a lot of other good stuff on the menu, but the fried chicken was so good (or we drank so much?) that everything else has become just a blur. Neat atmosphere and decoration, and staff was helpful and quick. It's not the cheapest meal we had in town by any means, but we would have happily gone back if we had been in town longer.
Came here on a Friday night and managed to get a table for 2 without any booking. Food is great and cost came to approximately $57 for two people. We had the sliders and KFC. KFC dish was very large and we couldn't finish it all.
Recently introduced to this Korean fusion bar and restaurant. Long, narrow sitting arrangement on high tables and stools. Modern, funky and slightly industrial feel. Great menu of good sized portions for sharing tastes with friends. Healthy, fresh and fragrant. Most delicious restaurant meal out for a long time. Variety on drinks menu including Korean rice wine, cocktails and beer towers. Great service, would highly recommend it and can't wait for the opportunity to return. Awesome.
Second time we have been to Anju and certainly not the last. Food is wonderful. Tastes to die for. Jugs of sangria are scrumptious. Highly recommended.
This is the place if you wanna try trendy korean food. It is not traditional but the foods are awesome. Variety of drinks and korean styled cocktails. We loved the sangria made from bok bun ja. Go have some fun!
