This place is located in a great little laneway in the city full of cafes and restaurants. The food here is good and I’ve never had a bad experience. The place is also great for after work drinks as they do great Margaritas and have a few nice tequilas available. View all feedback.
What tangstake doesn't like about Amigos Hardware Lane:
This was entirely my own fault I’d had a big day of work, I was hungry, and determined to have Mexican but needed it to be an easy walk from my hotel. The location is lovely if you want the bustling Melbourne lane way scene and it was nice to be outdoors on a balmy summer evening. But the food was lack lustre at best. Eating was very nice and the presentation was also good. the only problem I have is that the service staff were really slow to take used plates and it was quite cramped.
Great location, eating and service. has to prescribe her table as he is very busy.
We were placed near the toilets downstairs very small area and people constantly struggling to fit through to go to the toilet, they ran out of menus so we waited a while till they had some but didn’t I form us of the situation nor come and ask us if we wanted drinks while waiting.
Been to Amigos a few times before. Love the casual atmosphere that it generates along with the amazing food and the service is always attentive and polite.
That was the best mexican I had for a long time. the staff was very friendly and the service was very good. I was pleasantly surprised to see very authentic eating. mojitos were pleasant.
