1806 Cocktail Bar - Melbourne

We stumbled across this place after seeing a show. Place was very busy but the staff found us a table for 2. The place offers a range of boutique/bespoke cocktails, some classics and a small selection of nibbles. Quite a dark intimate atmosphere, however this did make it tricky to read the menu. We eventually got the attention of staff after about 20 minutes and ordered a classic margarita and cosmopolitan. After another 20 minutes or so our drinks arrived. Cocktails were ok but not great and not chilled. Accessibility may be an issue as there are steps inside the entry and toilets on a lower level.

My partner and I found this little bar after heading home from a show. It was such a nice atmosphere. The bartender was so knowledgeable and helped us pick out our drinks. Each drink is inspired by a song and the menu is a little Vinyl. Such a cute idea.

Amazing experience and great cocktails. It was a great vibe with great music. The wait staff were very attentive in topping up water and organising cocktails. Definitely recommend for a date night.

This is our second time at 1806, and it's the perfect place to begin or end an evening at the theatre. The staff are not just friendly and enthusiastic, but they know their alcohol.We were not disappointed with any of the suggestions made, and we enjoyed the experience. It can be loud, and it can feel tight, but it's all part of the experience. If you want quiet and intimate this is not the place for you, but fun and friendly with a splash of fancy is what you get at 1806. We would highly recommend the venue to anyone.
