Olympia Cafe - Melbourne

We ordered the plasterboard with fried potato wedges, and it was fantastic! The gyros were packed with tender meat and generous servings of fresh vegetables, complemented by a delicious tzatziki sauce. The pita bread was incredibly fresh—I'm not sure if they make it on-site, but it tasted great. There was so much food that it was almost a struggle to finish, but it was so delicious that I couldn't help myself. The owners were also incredibly kind. I highly recommend this place!

What a charming and cozy family-run restaurant! Teddy, the owner, does most of the cooking and has a lovely accent from his time in Greece, clearly showing his passion for his new home. We visited for lunch and chose the gyro platter, which was truly the best we've had in a long time. I can't wait to return for some eggplant, falafel, grape leaves, and more. It's a fantastic spot to enjoy authentic Greek cuisine!

Olympia Cafe has been a staple in Melbourne for many years, and I can't even recall where it was located before moving to its current spot on US-1. The food has consistently been delicious, with generous portion sizes. The restaurant is always clean, and the owner is very courteous. I usually order the lamb or chicken, but I’ve also sampled various other dishes, including their burger, which is infused with Mediterranean spices. Overall, it’s a fantastic place for lunch.

I ate here today. The hummus and baked garlic Pita chips are delicious!! So delicious. I also had the shrimps in the Greek salad, which was the lunch special and it was all very delicious and I will definitely be back!!

OMG wife and I loved meeting the owner THEODOROPULOS/Teddy the other day when we stopped in to get a pair of Gyros to go. This place is pretty far from home for us but we were near by on errand and I suggested we try this place based on the positive reviews and I'm SO glad we did. Gyro's were AWESOME but the biggest treat was meeting Ted and talking to him about his history, business, wife, etc. So nice to see a successful business owner with a long history in our town doing well and being so positive upbeat we have to go back! Go when he's not too busy so you can get the pleasure of meeting him. He has help but he's basically a one man show for 13 years in this location and I can imagine at lunch hour this place must get busy. We visited about 20 minutes before closing so it was perfect, we spent more time chatting with him than we spent putting our order in.
