Went for lunch with husband. We both had a daily special. Which although took a little longer was well worth the wait. The Pier has a lovely nortical themed bar. The staff were friendly. There is outside seating with views of river medway x only downside no parking. Would recommend. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 View all feedback.
What Paul Johansing doesn't like about The Pier Pub:
Ignored our request to book a table and when we phoned we were told they were closed despite their website and Google showing they are open. Clearly they don't need any customers View all feedback.
I visited this restaurant today and ordered 1 lemonade, 2 diet cokes, 1 pint of IPA, and 1 pint of cider. The total cost was £29.40, which I thought was very expensive. I will not be returning as I found it much cheaper at the pub down the road.
I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant, with friendly staff. I would definitely recommend it, especially during high tide when the scenery is truly beautiful.
Two of us came here for lunch. We had a friendly greeting but no attention. There is now a smaller lunch menu than most pubs. It used to have an imaginative and varied menu. We ordered spaghetti carbonnara. When it came it bore no resemblance to this classic Italian dish. It was a sloppy watery mess. The spaghetti was overcooked and floating in the sauce. The pub was quiet. The staff were chatting among themselves and the service was very casual. This is a nice pub in a good position on the waterside. It has gone right downhill in its standard and provision of good food, and in its atmosphere. A real shame.
Sadly most of the food menu was not available and of the dishes we got 2 had to go back But a nice Guinness and new management so maybe teething problems
Popped in for a coffee and they had only just opened. Nice enough lovely views of the river. Had a nice time.
