What Laura Lopez doesn't like about Gurkha's Way:
I always order my Indian take away from here. Always hot and so tasty. However I had my first issue with this order, the lemon in the lemon rice was burnt so badly it had tainted the taste of the rice and I could not eat it. However the only issue I have had in many many orders View all feedback.
Had a takeaway from this restaurant tonight. Food was lovely. Really nice Food and will be using in the future.
Ordered takeaway said would be in 1 hour , Rang again lady on phone rude said on way .waited and later no food ,rung again to cancel as 2 hours now (very hungry !! , girl said on way ,I said want to cancel she was rude and said was on way (liar . may be she ment it was coming from country (India do not bother wast of time ruined our Saturday .
Worst takeaway I've ever had in my entire life. They are selling the name of gurkhas when they don't even know the taste of nepalese food. Who makes chicken momo with mixed vegetables? Palpali rice with prawns? Chicken noodles with instant noodles (maggi) ? This restaurant is cheating customers out of their money, baiting them with the name of brave soldiers (GURKHAS). Food was cold, tasteless and overpriced for the poor quality. When we called the restaurant to complain about food, the person who answered was rude, didn't want to listen to our feedback and hung up the phone. Please if you want authentic Nepali food, do not order from this restaurant.
Loved ordering food from here but i wont be anymore. Such a shame they have hired a member of staff who is a mouthy rude lady, clearly has no customer service experience thinks it’s acceptable to talk to customers rudely aggressive. I wouldn’t mind so much if i was in the wrong but apparently i’m a mind reader and i should know when things aren’t working their end i should accept waiting 2 and a half hours for food to sort out my own refund. Don’t think so!
After a long anticipated wait for the great food as we have always received from the restaurant for takeaway. Me and friends were extremely disappointing to find the quality and taste of food so shockingly bad. The Nepalese chicken we ordered(me and my friends are Nepalese) were shocked to see this chicken pieces which were dry and green colouring coated. Just the look and the taste of this was not edible. The other food were in so much colouring and sweetness. We called to sort this issue out however the person on the phone kept referring that the food is supposed to be like that and there is nothing they can do. We were not looking for any money back or extra discounts.. but to inform that these kind of food standards won’t keep the restaurant running for too long. The person on the line should think about how to handle customer complaint issues and not be bluntly rude and defensive and at the end being told ‘it’s really busy so I can stay on the phone too long’ It’s just sad and hurtful. Please don’t serve this kind of service or food to other customers please
