Monaco - Medina del Campo

Stopped by Monaco for a drink whilst visiting Plaza Mayor at Medina del Campo. Due to the heat, they very wisely relocated all the guests outside into the restaurant. We decided to stay for lunch and had an excellent value for money 3-course meal for €15 each. The restaurant is very nice inside, the staff are very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. They also allowed us to take our dog in with us. We would definitely visit again.

The restaurant is located in the main square of Medina del Campo opposite the town hall. The daily menu is available at 11 euro per person and includes an impressive choice of dishes plus half a bottle of decent wine per guest, and dessert. The dishes we chose (spaghetti and aubergine baked with minced meat, fish in green sauce and steaks) were tasty and fresh, natilla for desert topped the lunch very nicely. Quick and friendly service.

Ate here today for lunch. We we're excited based on the reviews. Unfortunately, we were very unimpressed with most of our meal. We got the menú of the day. The first plates were good we had the canelones and ensaladilla rusa. We both got the fish, which left us feeling a little queasy and with our stomachs churning through the afternoon. Dessert was decent. Table wine was below average. The free croquetas at the beginning were actually the best part of the meal. Service was great. Servers were friendly.

Muy, muy, muy recomendable. Íbamos de viaje y paramos... ¡Qué magnífica sorpresa! Te tratan con mucho agrado y profesionalidad. El local es muy acogedor, con detalles de gusto y una exquisita limpieza. Comimos menú del día que estaba estupendo en todos los sentidos. Merecen un aplauso.
