Cleanliness could improve. Cinnamon rolls are SO fluffy and good, but I definitely wish that they served them with nice, thick cream cheese frosting instead of icing. The people were wonderful and accommodated a large group. Unfortunately, for our group the seating was really cramped and awkward so keep that in mind if you have a large group going. My husband felt the potatoes tasted freezer-burnt but my oatmeal was... View all feedback.
What Jeff V (FlyOrDieTryin' doesn't like about Rooster's:
You will feel like you stepped back in time....about 4 decades, but no jukebox. Smaller dining area that gets loud quickly when large families arrive. Traditional menu, hamburger, bacon and eggs, etc. View all feedback.
Great place to have breakfast with friendly staff and good atmosphere.
Wow! excellent food, service, and atmosphere. their chicken fried steak is fantastic. it's up there with the best I've ever had. the portions are big! i could only finish about half of it. yay! leftovers for din-din!
Sad to see this place go down hill! I used to love their chicken and dumplin soup this time had soggy bread instead of dumplins I was upset!
For the first time in years, i visited Roosters. I remember it as a delicious place to dine and to save room for their wonderful pies. But its changed. Kind of a honky tonk feel...maybe for the breakfast after drinkin ? Cowboy music a playin, everyone in slow laidback gear. Not much customers. I had called my order in for pick up. Do u have any other benidicts? Spinach, tomato avo, yes thats the one i want, great, thank you! Hardley anyone there, but it was a 10 minute wait besides my driving time (in honky tonkville). When i got home with my prize....I was surprised....to find a plain HAM benidict with the thinnest, smallest layer of hash browns I 've ever seen. The ham was the thickcut ham, layed under the eggs. All you could taste with that delicate dish was HAM. The creaminess of the dish was lost and the richness bowed over with mere ham flavor. Forget the hashbrowns, they were just a smattering of left over, tough potatoes. All for the gormet price of $15.50. Basically ham and eggs and a half order of potatoes, no fruit like Black Bear, their competion, and no smiles. Black Bear is always crowded. You could be the place just down the street with great service and better, faster food. And wonderful pies. I 'm sorry to say, Roosters is nothing to crow about...rather eat crow, becaused you stopped there. Legacy gone.
Our server was fast, efficient and friendly. We love coming here for breakfast. Or is it the cinnamon rolls? They are to die for!
