What User doesn't like about Neighborhood Kitchen:
I was looking for a night in boston in the opposite and has a lot to look online to a decent meal reviews and pictures looked good for this place, so we ordered two sharp chicken sandwiches that came up to ~ 40$ plus tax tip. it is not even close to being good, like Chick-fil-A spicy sandwich. So if I pay extra for chicken sandwich it must be at least better than a chain. but Idk people have different opinions. all i... View all feedback.
Best sandwich ever in my life! The spicy chicken sandwich with a bacon jam was thick, juicy, crispy, sweet goodness!
Excellent food at jaw dropping prices, but WOW that Mac and cheese is interstellar! Perfect type with real cheeses on top, and the bite from the Parm just finishing it out. Haven't tried their monthly specials yet, but look at their website if ordering takeout!
Bomb!! Lemon pepper wings fire!! As well as griot, Mac and cheese, both kinds of rice, Caribbean lasagna, so much love and flavor can be tasted. Highly recommend!!
I've been waiting over a year to try this place. Every since watching Phantom Gourmet and seeing Neighborhood Kitchen tease my taste buds. I'm a fried chicken and waffles fanatic, they have not only have it but they offer different flavored chicken and different flavored waffles. That being said, on my visit to NK I omitted the opportunity to get my chicken and waffle fix. I guess i dared to be different. I tried the fried fish sandwich, lemon pepper wings, Mac n cheese and the sweet plantains. The fish sandwich was amazing. Fried to perfection with the right amount of toppings and sauce. Definitely a must try. The plantains were good as well. The were sweet and cooked to order. The were soggy and gooey like some places. The Mac n cheese was decent. It was baked and cheesy but there was something missing. Possibly butter but definitely needed more salt. The lemon pepper wings were fried properly. The were just over dosed with lemon pepper seasoning. You have to have the right balance of seasoning because Lemon pepper wings can become overwhelming very easily. I would definitely make a return trip to Neighborhood Kitchen. I have to give the chicken and waffles a test drive and I love the Caribbean and Asian fusion. Good job Neighborhood Kitchen.
Went last night based on the good reviews and was not disappointed! This place is walking distance from my house and I suspect I'll be ordering from here all the time. We had the vegan spring rolls, vegetable rangoons, teriyaki salmon sandwich, mac and cheese, and dinner plate with fried tofu (not on the menu, but they happily accommodated my vegan diet). Everything was AMAZING. I obviously didn't try the salmon or Mac and cheese, but they got rave reviews from those who ordered them. The spring rolls were good, but nothing special. The tofu dinner plate was so delicious, and spicy and I ate it for lunch the next day as well. So happy that I tried their food. I was nervous they would not have vegan options, but they were so kind and accommodating, I will certainly certainly be back!!!! Oh! And they placed a table outside when we asked if they had a patio (which was listed on yelp). Such great, kind people!
