Just drove 5 hours, skipping breakfast and stopping for chicken and dumplings with some peach tea for lunch. Could barely finish it all so I got pie to go. Let me rephrase that, got a pie to go. A whole pecan pie. Chicken and dumplings was so good I got another order to go along with my pie. Service was great, food was near perfect (a few dumplings that were folded or doubled were undercooked) but the single layers,... View all feedback.
What Evan Maggio doesn't like about Cracker Barrel Old Country Store:
Said they were very busy had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for a table. Over half the dining room was empty. It would be better to say short staffed makes you feel like they don't think you're that stupid the ploy is to get you to shop. They had a lot of staff. My 90 year old father asked if he and my mother with a fractured back could sit at one of the tables and wait the host said it was against corporate policy. I gues... View all feedback.
Nice place. Good food helpful service around pretty nicely enjoyed it will say that the country fried steak was a little cheesy. Besides, the food is hot! As you can say, it was only made fresh.
Wonderful experience! Since then again two times because the food was so good! I'm from Texas and know how to taste Down Home cooking. These people nailed it. And do it with hospitality that reminds me of back home

I guess they could have gone outside and sat in a rocker it was a balmy 40°. We like Cracker Barrel but this one disappointed..poor management. When you're traveling you just want to eat and get back on the road.
Our server Lisa Was great. She is very friendly. Food was great. It was not crowded when we were there and they try their best spread people around the room.

A whole pecan pie. Chicken and dumplings was so good I got another order to go along with my pie. Service was great, food was near perfect (a few dumplings that were folded or doubled were undercooked) but the single layers, gravy and chicken were spot on. In fact, I ate it with a spoon to get the perfect mix of the three. The value was pretty darn good as well. Two full meals including sides, four biscuits, an endless peach tea, and a full pecan pie for $45. Comfort food, local hospitality and good value...no wonder there are lines on Sunday mornings when I drive by...
