A bit of a shopping-center atmosphere. Presentation of food ranks with flavor at a 4.5, but the salmon is farm-raised and the halibut is pre-broiled. Staff is friendly and it's not an uncomfortable place, but for $60 (including 15% tip) I may have been happier cooking the same food myself if someone else did the dishes. View all feedback.
What Angela Kunze doesn't like about Bambu:
I was at Bambu recently for the first time, after hearing such high praise from others. My S.O and I had dinner there. We ordered the Blistered Shishito Peppers, Red Shrimp Curry and the Tiger Cries dish. The peppers were very tasty, the dipping sauce was nice and tangy and very zesty. A great combo with the peppers. My S.O. had the curry which he sang praises for, but unfortunately the Tiger Cries dish was not up to... View all feedback.
Bambu is a great place to experience a beautiful evening meal. many vegan options. on the expensive side.
Very fresh tasting thai fusion. very good, decent amount of vegan, gf options
Eating is asian fusion, more in direction thai. we arrived late, 20:30, after a long day of driving. even if the restaurant closes by 9 they were full and we had to approx. 10 minutes waiting to take place. we took that as a good sign. but after scanning the menu it did not seem to be many vegetarian / vegan choices. during the conversation with our server, however, they informed us that they had a special vegetarian menu and that it broke out. So, make sure to ask specifically for the vegetarian menu before they are involved studying their regular. I ordered the yellow land curry with tofu (after the knowledge that the red curry contained fish sauce) and my man had a veggie fried rice coming from arizona, we are always of what oregonians call spicy (not our food was on the bland side by arizona standards. my curry was quite clear: sweet, creamy, thick and tasty with a beautiful selection of sweets. the portion size was about 3x what I managed. the roasted rice dinner of my manne, but that served was minuscule in comparison (over a cup rice with a few pieces of green pepper,) and too sour for my taste. he filled some of my curry and there was still rest. odd. we would have brown rice rather than white, but it was not in the menu and we forgot to ask. overall I would say that it was somewhat overpriced, but interesting, and with a little fluctuating, the restaurant could be a real winner.
Was thrilled to find this place while in Medford in an afternoon. Lunch specialties were INCREDIBLE... and the service was super friendly request. Enjoy a more thorough tour through the menu.
Always love this place!! Food, service vibe will never disappoint.
