the only thing I wanted to add to the Colombian cuisine was good hot sauce. the owner (I think of Chilean nacionality) brought us not only a delicious and cheap food card del dia, but also the best homemade hot soaked in Colombia! he is also very friendly. the place is filled with native, has a beautiful, old-fashioned interieur, and is a little hard to find, as there is no name sign on the brand or window. When I first visited medellin three years ago, I stumbled on this place while I went near parque lleras. my friend and I had gone for about two hours and until then we have starved. we saw this fonda (small rustic restaurant and it had a very nice amount, so we were right in. what a great choice! this place offers an executive lunch for $11,500 cop (approx. $4 with current exchange that includes the suppe of the day, main dish (meat, pork, huh, fish, etc. and drink (lemonade, panela, llo, etc.). the main dish came with rice, avocado, salat and arepa. it was more than full and absolutely delicious. Comfort food best! this is not a chic restaurant, but a clean, fast, hearty typical home meal fonda . Every time I go to medellin, is a meal here on my list. they can no longer be local than that!
Filipe and his wife have opened this place twenty years ago. it's super busy and there's a lunch special, so I have to check it out. my primary care at a place like this is cleanliness. but if they get her to eat and that's cute. in plastic they know that they are anal, that everything is clean. for about $7 they can get delicious buds or suppe and then boils or pork grilled, rice, a half of the kartoffel, some salat and a plantain as well as a Coca-Cola. that is a lot of eating and enough variety to fill them. I like it is busy and the decoration with all these beautiful pin-ups and portraits of women from the 1700s on the walls. definitiw a “hidden jewel”
Si usted quiere un menú casero, típico con una calidad insuperable y un precio bajo... La mejor comida de casa de Medellín

We were tired of hamburgers, pizza and eating and randomly seeing a place where many locals eat. we decided to investigate. the owner felipe greeted us in Spanish and when he saw that the confused look immediately in...english the food card is small huh, grilled bark or plucked, but probably more) I told him they give me their best dish. he asked how I felt about pot roast. I answered, I love it. the dish came to begin with a suppe that was delicious and fresh. we used some of his homemade hot sauce, which is absolutely phenomenal! the main dish is a small salad potato tarpaulina and large piece of pot roasted. everything was perfect. it is a hole in the wall local place that cries authenticity. if they want to get rid of food or imagination, they come here. oh the best part? it was 12500 $3,96 us) that will be my way to see here in medellin!
