Contribute FeedbackWhat I liked about the hostel is that it really close to the subway station and has a beautiful atmosphere and a comfortable chillout area. The roof is also nice to hang like the balconies. The Salsa class I can also recommend and the guy who worked at the bar was really nice. Why I write this review is because, despite the many people who complained about it, the hostal is not yet clean (you wonder why they don't exhaust when so many people mention it in their reviews). They did not regularly check the bathrooms, so there were no toilet paper on many occasions and also the bathroom was super dirty at night and in the morning it was still (and I don't speak about 8am). The kitchen was sometimes neat, sometimes not, but what bothered me was the refrigerator, it was filled and didn't look like the food was still edible. It only felt that they didn't take care of the place itself that made me really sad because it is a place with a lot of potential. I also decided to write the review because what happened at the checkout process. We did it in Spanish and I got confused at the place where she asked me about tips so the other girl translated it in English and said to the first girl shortly after, while I was still standing right in front of them how these white people just never understand and something else. I'm sorry, but that's just the most careless thing you can do to talk about someone in the same room just because you think they don't understand you. You shouldn't do it in general and especially not when you work in a hostel where you think people are open and friendly as well as service oriented. I was really disappointed and it ruined the stay for me.
Cool atmosphere and employees. coffee and breakfast is top. The rooms could have been a bit cleaner...; But was my favorite hostel in 2 months southamerica...
Some of the waiters got too familiar with guests, interrupting their conversations or meals, making look unprofessional the place. And annoying the neighborest tables and guests
Beautiful hostel, beautiful people and delicious food and coffee. I felt so comfortable here, what a great vibe it has. I couldn’t recommend this place more. You won’t be disappointed.
I loved medellín anyways but my stay at Ondas made it even better: it's not in the buzzing city center or Poblado but still easily reachable, in a safe and pretty neighborhood, the staff was very sweet and helpful, the rooftop terrace was amazing for me and my yoga mat, and the other people staying were always up for hanging out and exploring the city. I'd go there again any time!!
