The vibrant colours and day of the dead decor are eye grabbing and provides great atmosphere for dining in. Before ordering away, we decided to take advantage of the 2X1 Cocktails: Maracuya and Apple Margaritas - Phoar! Nice appetisers! Followed by enchilladas and a burrito. The food itself was delicious with servings of fresh guac and this amazing sweet chilli mango sauce however I was not impressed with the burrito... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about El Tacuate Resterraunt and Bar:
I'll admit the reason I visited was the colorful decor. I saw the bright-colored building when I drove by and decided I wanted to eat there. The inside is even more interesting, with various Mexican decorations, including a Dia de los Muertos skeleton near the entrance. I ordered the enchilada, like I usually do at Mexican restaurants. Colorful Mexican restaurant with beautiful day of dead furnishings, including table sets that were fun to draw. We had the soup, corn, frogs and quesdillas. Especially the soup was outstanding. Quesadillas were good, but as separate tortillas came to the table, where... you put everything you like, but it meant no melted cheese.
I liked the service, the decoration and the taste of the food. It has a beautiful Mexican barbecue. The service was excellent! We'll be back.
Not really good Mexicano At All. Service was great and the tequila, albeit was extremely overpriced was well...not watered down it seemed. But the food was just aweful. The quality of the beef was so bad i sent my dish back and took something else...to go...ended up throwing it out it was so nasty.
I love Mexican food and have lived in Medellin March of 2013. I am always on the lookout foe Mexican resteraunts. There are several in Laureles where I live and this one is by far the best and most authentic I have found. Sabor Mexico...in Poblado is a close second.

The food itself was delicious with servings of fresh guac and this amazing sweet chilli mango sauce however I was not impressed with the burrito simply because it was not a burrito...no black beans no rice..it was just a wrap with veg and meat so this is where Tacuate losses points in my eyesAsides for the above, the staff were super friendly and attentive. Therefore if you want to indulge in a bit of Mexican here in Medellin, check out Tacuate!
