First stop on my gastronomy tour. Had a delicious cocktail and buñuelos. But these were not your ordinary street fare buñuelos, these were buñuelos elevated. Middle was scooped out replaced with a delicious filling of shrimp. Yum!Music was pleasant and didn't intrude on our conversation. View all feedback.
What Euna Steuber doesn't like about Alambique:
The place was lovely to look at , eclectic and retro but the food was disappointing, rather bland and my partner's pork was inedibly tough, almost uncuttable. The cocktails were good and the staff were friendly. We sat at the bar because everything was booked even though we tried to book for days through their website. Just not working. So that was less than ideal and many tables sat empty until the patrons strolled... View all feedback.
Things I like from here, nice food, at least what I could order. Costume service pretty weak.. Based on the fact that I made my reservation, I asked if it was possible to get a normal table, and they told me that I can't choose, only they depend on how many ppl reserves, thank you! Well, we came and there were at least 10 empty tables and idk when they asked it on purpose bc I in my reservation, but they gave us a seat in a bar overlooking the roof from the neighborhood (a look with rats running and playing on these roofs and the face of the governor of Antioquia). If you get a table on the other side of the restaurant, you can at least enjoy the beautiful decorations they have If you are vegetarian or vegan, you have only 2 options, and these are fried, I really thought more options what you have is for alcohol.... Our dishes were nice, fairly small (and they say it is to share), and it is cheap. I think my situation is that I had many expectations and not what I expected.
The food was delicious, so the drinks. It felt like a lot of love and care placed in the flavors and aromas also the drinks. The menu said the food can serve for a long time, but we were not longer than normal. The atmosphere and the decorations both just wanted you to want from a beautiful restaurant like this.
The best restaurant in the city, excellent food, very good music, all delicious come here. The workers' funny, the best sperience.

So that was less than ideal and many tables sat empty until the patrons strolled in. It was way too loud, most places in Medellin seem to favor LOUD 80's pop music. I don't know why. So yeah, would I go back? Maybe , but there were other places that I thought were better.
We really had to look for this place. I heard about a travel log. The drinks were great. We have two appetizers that were excellent and fill. Really perfect for friends and appointments. Appropriate price. Service is slow, but once you get served, they are on top.
