Langendorf's Zur Traube - Meddersheim

Hard to evaluate this restaurant. We came to lunch just before 12:30 and served our lunches at 2:00. That's 90 minutes. No explanation why the delays, although we could see from the tables around us that they are waiting for a long time. The menu is in German, but the owner's wife was very gracious to interpret us. The menu and the specialties were full of good choices. This place was recommended by a local as the boss/owner came from a Michelin star restaurant. Surely in the quality of food and taste he really knows his stuff. The ambience is very old in the two rooms. Given the extreme delay in obtaining our food, I would not recommend this place unless you are OK with waiting for a very good meal.

Once you have found Meddersheim and this historic building, enter the country house and feel like again in the living room of the grandmother. But it is the retreat of the chef of the most famous restaurant in the most famous hotel in Wiesbaden. So his no surprise to find a most elaborate kitchen, the best dishes, well presented. A real pleasure to eat there. Since the village is located in the region of the Nahe River, known for one of the best wine-growing regions in Germany, the grape grape has a selection of excellent wines in the area.

Excellent food and staff, despite not easy Corona times

Charming inn/restaurant with upscale kitchen. Always worth a visit.

The food was incredibly good, the whole atmosphere is very nice, not too well. It just fits everything.
