What Justin Carlson doesn't like about Tikka Shack Mechanicsburg Indian Grub:
Ordered chicken tikka masala, 2 pieces of naan, and samosas. Tastes good but I bet there isn?t even a full chicken breast- even with the extra chicken I paid for- mostly sauce. Good thing I have frozen chicken in my truck fridge and can cook it to use up the sauce. The naan is thin and not as soft as it should be. Not impressed and was looking for a good meal after a long day! Never again! View all feedback.
We enjoyed a quick dinner at Tikka Shack while spending some time in Mechanicsburg. The interior of the restaurant is trendy and comfortable with lively popular music playing. We had a Spinach Masala with Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, and a Chicken Curry. All had just the right spice and were the proper portion size for quick service and no leftovers. The peanut butter and chocolate cake tasted off, like maybe it sat too long and developed a stale taste, but we didn't stop for cake, so I was not extremely disappointed and that was the only negative. If you want quick indian food, this is a great stop.

I recently had the pleasure of ordering from Tikka Shack Indian Grub during a business trip to Mechanicsburg, PA. Craving the rich flavors of Indian cuisine, I turned to Tikka Shack based on its positive reviews, and I'm glad I did, even though I didn't have my car and had to order through Grubhub. My order consisted of the Street Style Chaat, Ras Malai, Spinach Masala, and Kabob Bowl. From the moment the food arrived, I was impressed with the portion sizes, which were exactly what I had anticipated. The Samosa Chat was a delightful start to my meal. The crispy samosas combined with various toppings created a medley of textures and flavors that were satisfying. However, I would rate it an 8 out of 10 due to the slight absence of sauce, which I believe could have elevated the dish even further. The Ras Malai, a dessert I hold dear to my heart, was an absolute winner. I would confidently rate it a perfect 10 out of 10. The dessert was exquisitely prepared, with the soft and creamy Ras Malai soaked in sweetened milk. It provided a perfect ending to the meal. The Spinach Masala was a burst of flavors. The spinach was cooked to perfection, and the paneer cubes were fresh and tender. The dish offered a harmonious blend of spices that pleased my taste buds. One of the highlights of my order was the Kabob Bowl. The chicken was incredibly juicy and tender, and the flavors were well-balanced. It showcased the culinary expertise of the kitchen and left me highly satisfied. While most of the dishes were exceptional, I found the mango salad to be too sweet for my taste. This personal preference aside, the rest of the meal compensated for it.On the whole, my experience at Tikka Shack Indian Grub was impressive. The flavors transported me to India, and the quality of the food was evident in every bite. However, I couldn't help but notice that the prices were comparatively higher than similar establishments in cities like Chicago. In conclusion, Tikka Shack Indian Grub in Mechanicsburg, PA, is undoubtedly a great place to savor authentic Indian flavors. The Ras Malai, Spinach Masala, and Kabob Bowl were highlights of my meal, and even though the mango salad missed the mark for me, it didn't overshadow the overall experience. While the prices might be on the higher side, the quality of the food justifies it. If you're in the area and craving Indian cuisine, Tikka Shack is a solid choice.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options
We did a quick yelp search and found this place during our PA trip. Based on the reviews for the Indian restaurants in the area, decided to give this a try. Clean and modern looking restaurant. Dine in or take out options available. Order at the register just inside the entry way, then find a table and wait for the food to be served. The restaurant was so free on a Friday evening. Felt overly hyped and outlandishly pricey with small portions. Not the best of places, they have some fancy menu but not much of flavor. I'm a bit torn about this place, not what I was expecting after reading the reviews. For the price payed, expected large portions and little bit of flavor. The service was underwhelming and we were disappointed. Not an option for a quick meal, they take forever. Good parking space and stroller accessible
Whenever I’m craving an indowestern meal, I come here for the paneer tikka pizza and masala fries. The food is spicy, and their levels are definitely reflective of it. The paneer tikka pizza has soft paneer on it was a delicious tikka sauce and fresh tomato cilantro and onion on it. The masala fries are also tasty. They deliver and can take pick up orders.Their inside seating is also really cute with a large wall of greenery with a “Tikka Shack” sign up, the ambiancr is nice!
