Wonderful place! Just what we were hoping! Lovely store with all kinds of homemade and cute items. The cafe was great too. Plenty of seating and sites to see. The tractor ride out to the orchard was fun. Picking peaches was quick and easy. We can’t wait to come again! View all feedback.
What Liz Moudy doesn't like about Walters' Fruit Ranch:
Not the friendliest staff. We got there just after opening hours and were treated like we shouldn't be there interfering with their prep and gossip. The tractor guy was quite late, but we did pick peaches. Once they saw how much we picked in a short time, they couldn't have been nicer...they advertised what we were after, but we probably should have waited a couple more days..As a senior, I resented this place and wi... Went there to pick strawberries. The weather was perfect, the people were nice, the strawberries were sweet, juicy and big. Fun family experience.
DON'T order the food! $9 (plus tip) veggie sandwich consisted of the the toppings you put on a burger (store bought slice of tomato, slice of onion, 2 pickles and a leaf of lettuce between 2 slices of white bread). NO mayo, mustard, etc. The gal at the counter pointed to the little condiment packets at the bar if I wanted anything. My friend ordered a $7 grilled cheese. BOTH were the saddest sandwiches we could have imagined. We should have taken a photo! We are not picky eaters. We were both stunned at the lack of quality and the price attached. They should be ashamed... Stick to the ice cream and pie.
Always love Walter's! Went with my 32 year young son and we've been visiting Walter's since he was 8! Best pies, great selection of farm grown fruit and veges, family activities, best farm made cider and lots of fun gifts. My favorite place on Greenbluff!
