Neighbors Cafe - McPherson

Showed up at 10:35 am and wasn’t allowed in restaurant to sit down or order for takeout. Was told they were shutting down. Do not say open until 11 and not be. Can not rate food because I was not even greeted, given a menu, or have my order taken, or get to eat. Atmosphere and service and how we were treated does not even rate one star. Very disappointed….

Decent prices and large portions, servers are super friendly

Like home cooked meals without the mess. Come here. Yes there is a wait most of the time but the food and prices makes it worth it. Staff is beyond friendly and helpful. Great place to take everyone for a great meal. I highly recommend it.

We had seen an advertisement for the cafe on Facebook. Because of the plate sized cinnamon rolls we decided to give it a try (which meant a 50 mile drive one way). We didn’t arrive at the cafe until 11:00 they had sold out of the cinnamon rolls We ordered 1/2 order of biscuits gravy; 1/2 order of hash-browns, and the daily special (which was meatloaf). The food was well beyond our expectations (delicious) and the service was unrivaled. The experience was “more than” worth the effort mileage. We’ve already decided to do this again but earlier so we can try the cinnamon rolls.

Small but worth a stop! Quick friendly service, fair prices, and tasty homestyle food. My hot beef sandwich was great, really tender and flavorful. Great little diner.
