I stopped by during a road trip and discovered that the restaurant has just reopened as Whine Knot Diner. It still has the adorable Route 66 decor. The food was excellent, although there was a bit of a wait, but since they just reopened, I'm sure they'll work out the timing. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. It's a fantastic choice for a lunch stop along Route 66 or I-40. My dad exclaimed that his onion rings were the best he's ever had! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Lunch.
Great place to grab breakfast, good portions and good prices. Waitress was friendly and on top of filling drinks, food was served reasonably fast and definitely hot. Cool decorations and classic diner feel make Chuckwagon a worthy stop on your journeys. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
