Wow these Adelaide wineries are amazing! We were visiting from the UK and visited a few wineries for lunch during our stay. Cariole's was our finale with a table for 14 including 6 (fortunately well behaved) children. It was a glorious sunny Sunday and we were seated on the terrace with amazing views. What Salma Rivas doesn't like about Coriole Vineyards:
A pleasant lunch in the gardens of Coriole on a perfect sunny day complimented by a drop of white. We tried duck and a prawn and pork surf and turf. The former was delicious! View all feedback.
The wines are all different varieties and very out there. Not to our liking. We went on a Saturday and it was totally over crowded. There were 3 servers and we couldn't get a drink between the 2 of us! We stood for ages and ages and it became boring. After a few wines which we didn't like, we left before getting through half their tasting menu. A very small tasting room. In the past we have been offered olives to taste but not today which was a bit disappointing. Couldn't wait to leave to get to our next spot. Wanted to have lunch there but the menu sounded very wierd and not to our liking. Nice views though.
Located in a old converted cottage and open until 5pm, what more can I ask for on a lazy Sunday? The food-wine pairing is quite an experience.
Really great service with some lovely wines. The barman who served us was very knowledgeable. Thank you for the experience
