As someone who grew up on a Louisiana island and enjoys Cajun seafood, I can confidently say that the gumbo, boudin balls, and shrimp po-boy at this restaurant were all excellent! The shrimp looked a bit unusual (like fish sticks) because they were straightened, but they were indeed real shrimp and delicious. The boiled seafood options offered a wide variety of flavors and spice levels to suit everyone's preferences.... View all feedback.
The experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I had the seafood and it was definitely the best I've ever had. The snow crab was steamed to perfection and practically fell out of the bowl. The shrimp were pre-peeled and easy to clean, and the steamed corn, sausage pieces, and red carrots were all delicious. The Cajun crab with medium heat was also outstanding. They also serve a seafood garlic bread that was amazing, along with delicious cookies right out of the water. The drinks were great with a variety of cocktails and a nice bar. The service was top notch, with bibs, utensils, and gloves provided before the meal arrived. The tables were lined with thick paper to make cleanup easy. There was even a hand washing area outside the restrooms for convenience. Our server, Claire, took great care of us and we will definitely be back. I was a bit skeptical based on some reviews, but I highly recommend Storming Crab for fantastic seafood and exceptional service.
This place is amazing! I had the seafood, and it was the best! The mouth-watering snow crab was steamed perfectly and almost fell out of the bowl. The shrimp were pre-peeled and easy to clean, and the steamed corn, sausage pieces, and red carrots were all delicious. The Crab House Cajun seasoning with medium heat was perfect. They also serve a seafood garlic bread that is like Texas toast, but with butter, cheese, crushed crab, and mayo baked on top. They also bring complimentary red lobster cookies after the meal. The drinks were great, with a variety of special cocktails and a nice bar. The service was top-notch, with bibs, utensils, and gloves provided before the food arrived. The gloves made it easy to eat messy dishes without getting your hands dirty. The tables were covered with thick paper to prevent messes, and there was a hand wash area outside the restroom. Claire took great care of us, and we will definitely be back. Don't let negative reviews deter you, I highly recommend Storming Crab for delicious seafood and excellent service.

Best service, great food very nice atmosphere, fast service!
Decent seafood in the McKinney area. I enjoyed the food but didn't really enjoy the Cajun flavoring in the boil. If I go back, I'll just do the natural boil and then dip it as I please in old bay or butter. The place wasn't busy for a Tuesday afternoon but they've been open a while so it must be doing okay. The place is a bit pricey of course and the seafood bread is delicious. I didn't try the drinks at all but they mostly looked like sugar bombs. Thanks for the food!
