Contribute FeedbackVisiting a popular Tex-Mex restaurant can yield varied experiences, often hinging on service and food quality. While one location showcases attentive staff and delicious dishes like enchiladas and chicken fajitas, others struggle with slow service, unkempt tables, and misprepared orders. Many patrons reported long wait times, even when the restaurant was nearly empty, leaving them frustrated and hungry. Yet, there are instances of warm hospitality, especially from friendly hosts and dedicated servers managing large groups. Despite some inconsistencies, diners appreciate the enjoyable food that, when it arrives correctly, truly satisfies and draws them back for more.
Quite pleasant meal. I had enchiladas with a puffy taco, vater had chickensfajitas, and mother had chicken road tacos. everyone was satisfied with the temperature, quality and taste of eating. the waitress was nice, but at the end of the meal she fell the bill off and never back to check on us. I would recommend this place as a fast informal place to get some moderately expensive food.
Always Great Food, Service an d the chips are the Best ?
El Fenix is one of my all-time favorite Mexican restaurants in the Dallas area. They never disappoint. The chips are fresh, thin and crispy. The salsa is mild but delicious. Everything on the menu is perfectly made.
Our waiter Leo was ?? great!! We didn’t have to wait long to be served. He was very attentive. In the middle of a ?pandemic, it’s rare to get nice service. And so I just had to give a shout out for this particular location in McKinney. The general manager Leslie stopped just to say hi. I again, appreciate that type of behavior. It wasn’t expected but was definitely appreciated. Still sitting in the restaurant while writing this one. Couldn’t wait?!!!
We called ahead for a group of 11 and were told there would be a 20 to 25 minute wait. When we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty with hardly any tables occupied. The floors and table were sticky, and some of the appetizer plates were dirty. It took a long time for us to receive our drinks, leaving us all hungry and thirsty. We finished everything quickly and had empty glasses, but had to wait 15 minutes for tortillas, butter, and more chips. When drink refills were finally brought out 30 minutes later, one person did not receive theirs. The waitress, who was rude, only returned to take our order after a long wait. The food took another 45 minutes to arrive, with burnt and old beans in one dish and no sauce in the burrito, which had to be sent back. Despite the initial issues, the food was good once it finally arrived. On our way out, another couple informed us they had been quoted a 30 minute wait but had waited over 45 minutes.
