Our server was... read more Dining outside at Moretti's Riverside is enjoyable, thanks to the great atmosphere right on the river and the lively yet not overpowering music. Our server was friendly and attentive. The cheese curds were delicious, and the house sangria was tasty, though quite overpriced. The chopped salads felt a bit bland and uninspired. I ordered the blackened chicken for my salad but was served grilled instead—not the server’s fault, as she had it noted correctly and even offered to correct the mistake. The food feels pricey for a casual spot. What really bothered us was the 3% surcharge added to the bill. We were initially curious about it, then noticed the fine print explaining it’s to cover rising supply and packaging costs, with an option to ask the server to remove it for dine-in. Needless to say, we refused to pay it. It seems like a sneaky way to increase the total, and I wonder how many customers actually catch this before paying.

But for $11, the lettuce portion was minimal, and what we did get was either slimy or brown. I don’t think I’ll be ordering a Caesar again anytime soon. Moretti’s, please ensure takeout matches the quality we get when dining in.

I'm generally easygoing and try to give servers the benefit of the doubt, especially during busy times. However, the restaurant is only about half full right now. I had to remind the hostess that we were still waiting for our table. To their credit, they did offer us our first cocktail for free, but unfortunately, the service didn't improve after that. One of our drink orders was forgotten when we attempted to reorder. Despite these issues, I will still leave a 20% tip since I've had good experiences here in the past. I hope today is just an off day for them.

It also provides a wonderful atmosphere for families.

We've been visiting Moretti's since it was a different restaurant. The location is great since it's close to home; I can even see the roof of our house from the... read more We've been visiting Moretti's since it was a different restaurant. The location is great since it's close to home; I can even see the roof of our house from the outdoor seating, which is quite convenient. However, the real reason we keep returning is for the thin crust, tavern-style pizza. Tuesdays are a highlight for us, as it's half-price pizza night with the purchase of a drink. The crust is nice and crispy, making it easy to enjoy whether you're seated at the bar or at a table, without the worry of floppy crusts spilling toppings everywhere. We've tried both dining in and takeout, and each time, the pizza has been hot and fresh. If you visit during the warmer months, I highly recommend sitting outside to enjoy watching the boats and jet skiers. The sunset view is beautiful as well. We will definitely be back!
