Not bad for a no frills rib shack!. My husband and I recently relocated to the area and live down the road from Shane 's. We definitely love our Southern BBQ and are always anxious to try out new places.<br/ <br/ We went there the other night to give them a whirl and it was very typical of a rib/BBQ shack...no frills, just how we like it! The prices seemed in-line with normal BBQ fare, but the portions could have been a little bit larger (especially with the sides). We both ordered the BBQ and I had the mac 'n ' cheese and fried okra. My husband ordered the baked beans and fries. The BBQ was pretty good...very flavorful and definitely worth getting again. The mac 'n ' cheese was phenomenal! Definitely my favorite part of the meal, which is probably why I was disappointed in the portion size! The okra was good, but a little too salty for my liking. My husband really liked the baked beans and the fries weren 't any different from any other place!<br/ <br/ All in all, it was very good and we will definitely be returning, especially since it 's so close to home! It 's definitely not our favorite place (we hold that spot for Jim 'N ' Nicks) but a good representation of true Southern BBQ. The service was also very good....great staff, friendly and it was a clean place!

Come on, Shane....don 't be a cheapskate.. Follow up Writing an update to my review. I went back tonight and this Shane 's now has the $20 family special. Good for you Shane 's, but I still wonder why it took so long and you had to distance yourself from the other locations.<br/ <br/ This Shane 's Rib Shack is different from the others that are scattered all over the Southeast. This one does not adhere to the specials and coupons that are offered at the other locations. I went into this Shane 's and ordered the 'Family Meal Deal ' that is offered at other locations for $19.99. When my total was rung up on the register, the girl came back to me and said it would be almost $30. I asked why it was so much since it was supposed to be $19.99 and the girl told me 'this Shane 's is still owned by the Thompson family and we don 't have the other deals at the other restaurants. ' So, I paid $10 more for the 'honor ' of eating at the nasty white house rather than the nicer franchise stores. Come on Shane, you made a mint off of selling your franchises, can 't you at least have the same deals as your other restaurants?

The Original Location. This is the original 'shack ' of Shane 's Rib Shack. It is a small white building. My family loves this location. Kids can play on the outdoor playground while parent watch on and eat in the covered 'outside ' seating. The portion sizes are huge.

I admire this restaurant! They give fantastic dishes, their menu is nice, The chief cook in that restaurant is a specialist, I enjoy very much trying all their food. The dishes are always of high qualtity, the service towards the customers is friendly. I go often to this place and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend it to all.
