Had the set menu, everything was yum and it was great value for 45pp. Our waitress was beautiful!

Although there weren't enough meatballs l... read more I couldn't find any faults with the restaurant - it was not noisy or cramped, and the food and service were excellent. Although there weren't enough meatballs left for a full serving, we were given the last two as a separate side dish with our main courses. This gesture only added to our enjoyment of the meal. We were so impressed that we decided to order a bottle of Phaedrus Pinot noir and even booked the same table for next Saturday night as we have friends visiting from out of town. The menu was simple but varied for different days of the week, and the cuisine was excellent at a reasonable price. We hope the restaurant doesn't raise its prices like other successful restaurants tend to do, as everyone has their tipping point. For example, we used to frequent the neighboring Merchant until they raised the price of a large takeaway latte to $5.20. Unfortunately, we no longer go there. We're excited to dine at Kobe Jacks next Saturday night!
