China One - McCormick
China One
Description
In McCormick, SC, this compact Chinese spot delivers fresh, flavorful dishes and friendly counter service that appeal to travelers and locals. Formerly a buffet, it now operates as counter-order/takeout with affordable prices and occasional complimentary bottled water. However, serious hygiene and safety concerns—reports of ants, metal shavings, slow phone response, and misleading signage—temper praise. Best for quick takeout or budget meals, but verify current conditions before dining.

First time here, and we will never be back. Also brought the food back and requested a refund. ?When we walking in, ordered, and sat down to wait for our food, we noticed many ants on the table and seats, and a very unclean environment. ?Once our food was ready we took it and went home, we started eating our food and my husband found METAL shaving in his food! This can be deadly if ingested and we will be watching for symptoms as 24 hours passes, although he did stop eating after finding the metal shaving, we are unsure if any of us actually ingested any.Myself our toddler and my husband all ate some of our food before noticing this. Please for the safety of yourself and your family DO NOT eat here! Its cheap for a reason! This place was actually very busy, and that is so concerning ? its also to be noted that they do not pick up their phones very quickly, it took me calling 6 times to receive a picked up call, and then she hung up on me and i had to call back, just unprofessional all around. ?Receipt and metal shaving in photos. ?
