Reviews - Jc's
Reviews summary
Part neighborhood supper club and family trattoria, this roomy Italian‑American restaurant is celebrated for generous portions, homemade sauces, standout sandwiches, pasta, pizza and a lively bar with wine, cocktails and weekend live music. Owners are hospitable and the large dining rooms suit groups and private events. Expect warm, classic comfort food — but service and execution can be hit-or-miss, with occasional slow server attention and unevenly cooked sides.

My wife and I were there with friends and had a wonderful time. The food was not only good but plentiful. The service was good and atmosphere was good because the restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. They put us in the back away from the front bar area where it was crowded and noisy . The six of us were able to carry on conversations without any trouble. We will definitely go back! What Kayla Hawkins dislikes about Jc's:
Excited about a supper club experience...The wine was great. Probably the worst service we have ever had. We sat there for 35 minutes before our server even attempted to touch our table. after we got a glass of wine)...we are from out of town but are in this are annually and have found many great places. We probably won't come back! And no, it was not busy. We were 1 of 3 tables. View all feedback.

I had the burger, but it wasn't very good. However, they do serve fresh, hot bread that was enjoyable.
I often stop by for lunch to order a salad with calamari paired with a cabernet. Quick summary the food is always fresh and delicious (thanks for the warm bread). The staff service is consistently friendly and attentitive. The dining area is clean with framed memorabilia covering the walls. Fellow patrons have been cordial and welcoming. The music and TV volumes are low enough to have a productive conversation. Bottom line exit 1st Ave onto Joliet Road west, pull in to JC Pub and enjoy your meal.

My uncle showed me this place about 4 years ago and it must be one of the most consistent restaurants I've ever been. Hands down some of the best Italian food in Chicago Land area. 5/5 stars... can never go wrong
We just hosted my mom’s birthday party in the 90 room, and it was perfect for our group size. The food was great, and Jori and her team were outstanding to work with. They truly helped create a fantastic event for my mother!
I always have a fantastic dining experience at JCs. The owner, Joe, is always on hand to greet you and ensure you enjoy your meal. Our go-to dish is the lasagna, and we also love the new drink, the Frango Mint martini. They host karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays, which adds to the fun. If you're a fan of the movie Goodfellas, you'll definitely appreciate this place.
Visiting my brother he suggested this place. It was honestly very good!! The pork chops were out of this place. The entrees were a nice size. As we were leaving, we saw someone have pizza. That looked so delicious too!
I want to be sure what to expect. This place is more elevated than a traditional family restaurant. The place is huge. Looks like a great place for a big party. It feels like it's more for an older crowd. I had the patty melt I usually don't understand. It was really incredible! The rye bread tasted like they just baked it. I'm sure I'll come back.

The food is exceptional at this restaurant. Everything I've tried is delicious, and the homemade rolls are simply outstanding—I could eat them all day! I've never had a bad meal here, and the pizza is also fantastic.
If you're seeking an old-school supper club that's been cherished for decades, JC's is the place to be, and it just keeps getting better. They offer a menu with daily specials and delicious pizzas (be sure to try the Garden pizza with its crispy crust) every day of the week. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Prime Rib is an incredible meal that’s definitely worth it. The servers—Katie, Danielle, Trish, Johnna, and Nicky—are knowledgeable and personable. The bar staff, including Tonya, Gia, and Christina, can whip up any drink you desire. Joe welcomes you with a warm greeting upon arrival and thanks you when you leave. This place epitomizes the charm of old-school dining, which is why it has a loyal clientele like myself who have been coming here for decades. They also have a small banquet room suitable for parties, funeral brunches, and more. Plus, on Friday and Saturday nights, you can enjoy karaoke too!
